Terms and conditions

 To secure your booking I require a deposit of 50%, which is non-refundable and non-transferable. Full outstanding balance is due no later than 14 (fourteen) days prior to the delivery/collection date. I accept cash and bank transfer payments.

 The minimum notice I require for a cake order is 48 hours to enable me get necessary fresh ingredients, produce a design and have enough time for the baking and decorating process. Please note that the date of your order is not reserved until the deposit is paid.

 Alterations to the size/design are possible. It is however subject to availability, my discretion and extra fee. All changes to the order or cancellations must be submitted in writing via email. The following charges in case of cancellations apply:

- up to 14 days prior to the collection/delivery day - deposit amount of 50% is retained

- later than 14 days prior to the collection/delivery - full amount is retained

  On rare occasions I will allow a change of the date and the possibility of carrying the payment forward. Subject to availability.

 In exceptional circumstances (emergency or 'Force Majeure' events) TaDo Bakery UK reserves the right to cancel an order at any time. In such cases I will give as much notice as possible and a full refund will be issued, unless alternative arrangements will be made.

 You can collect your cake from my premises unless it has more than 2 tiers or particularly complex structure/details that require special transportation set up. Delivery is subject to availability and an extra delivery fee. Date and time of the collection/delivery must be agreed in advance. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the correct delivery address is provided, that I can get the access to that address and that someone is available to receive the cake. A signature will be required for the receipt of your order upon delivery. When collection is arranged by the customer the signature for the acceptance of the cake will be required. Please be advised that TaDo Bakery UK holds no responsibility for the condition and safety of the cake once it has left its premises. 

 It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the venue, public or private address has an adequate and/or suitable table or furniture to store and/or display the cake. If any damage to the cake happens due to the fact that, for example, the table or the cake stand was unstable or uneven, TaDo Bakery UK will not be held responsible.

 Cakes should be consumed by the date specified on the collection/delivery note. It is usually 24-48 hours from the time of delivery/collection. The shelf life of the cake will depend on the conditions the cake is kept in. Most of my cakes are to be stored in the refrigerator in the box provided (unless otherwise specified). Full information on cake care will be provided with the delivery/collection note. It is the customer's responsibility to maintain adequate temperature and environment condition control to maintain the quality of the product once it has been delivered/collected.

 Please note that all non-edible items, structural supports (for example, cake dowels) and decorations must be removed before cutting the cake and serving it.

 Some cake decorations (like sugar flowers or other food safe decor) may contain wires and supports. Therefore they are not considered to be edible and must be removed before the cake is cut and served. Full information regarding non-edible items will be provided upon collection/delivery.

 If you have special dietary requirements or allergies please let me know the details on initial enquiry so that I can advise on the possible allergen-free options. 

 Please note that all products are made in a kitchen that handles allergens including NUTS, GLUTEN/WHEAT, DAIRY, EGG and SOYA. Even though I have strict measures in place to prevent cross-contamination, I cannot guarantee that the final product doesn't contain traces of allergens. If you have a severe allergy or food intolerance I recommend sourcing the cake maker who specialises in catering exclusively allergen-free options.

 Food colouring products that I use have passed EU food safety tests and are certified for food consumption. However some food colours may have an adverse affect on activity and attention in children. In rare cases they can also cause an allergic reaction. Please also note that bright/dark food colouring may stain.

 I always strive to achieve a perfect service by following health and safety guidelines, working closely with customers whilst fulfilling their requests, and taking on board any suggestions on how to improve my services. If you have any concerns about the product's appearance, please contact me upon collection/delivery to present an opportunity for us to resolve an issue where possible. TaDo Bakery UK cannot guarantee the exact shades of colour or 100% accurate reproduction of the cake sketch. Sometimes I will have to make reasonable changes to the original design if I deem it to be technically or artistically more appropriate.  

 If you have a complaint regarding the quality of the cake itself, 75% of uneaten cake must be returned within 48 hours from the moment of collection/delivery for me to be able to assess the nature of the complaint and investigate.

TaDo Bakery UK reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order without giving reasons.

 TaDo Bakery UK reserves the right to make changes to this document at any time without notice. It is the customer's responsibility to check regularly to determine whether these terms and conditions have been changed in any way.

 TaDo Bakery UK will not be liable for any consequential losses, damages or other costs arising from a failure to fulfil the above contract.

 Unless otherwise stated, TaDo Bakery UK owns the intellectual property rights of the materials on the website. All the intellectual property rights are reserved.

 You may view, download for caching purposes only, and print pages or other content from the website, provided that you do not republish material from this website (including republication on another website), or reproduce or store material from this website in any public or private electronic system. You must not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or otherwise exploit TaDo Bakery UK website or material for a commercial purpose, without my express written consent.
